Michael and I had talked about going last year but financially we were just not in the position to go. But after working with SeneGence for 6 months (I'll have to do a blog post about it) we finally had a bit of extra income, plus some savings so we just decided to go for it!!
We flew from Great Falls to Phoenix/Mesa and stayed with my Grandma and Grandpa Urry for 9 wonderful days!! The day we got there my Grandma and I sat down and wrote out a list of the things we wanted to do and we decided to start on them the very next day. I didn't want to runout of time to do the things we wanted so we dove right in. I will tell the story by pictures...
I'll keep some of these photos smaller. We headed to Great Falls a day early and went to see Auntie Dani as she works in a Trampoline Park! The kids had a blast bouncing all over the place, playing in the foam pit, and doing the climbing wall. I was $5 a person, and in Lethbridge it's $20 so, WORTH IT!! Then we went to Golden Corral for dinner. The kids absolutely loved it and Ty said it was his favorite place to eat on our entire trip. He loves buffets.
Ben ate LOTS. Meatloaf, cauliflower, chicken, broccoli. There is nothing (yet) this boy won't eat!
Broccoli and Marshmallows.
Noah ate lots of chocolate, as you can see.
Fast asleep in the hotel.
At the airport and excited to go (kind of... haha)
Okay there we are. Now they are excited!!
The kids all did really well travelling!!
Now we are in Mesa, Arizona!! Ben spent plenty of time in this high chair.
Sideways photos--- Grandma teaching them how to eat a orange, ha!
Noah going to town. Grandma has grapefruit, orange, lemons, and limes.
We went to Legoland Discovery Centre. The kids love lego so we had a blast.
Check out these fun foam lego blocks. I wish we could buy these!
Tower.
This thing shakes your tower to see if it stays stable.
This guy makes tons of different creations. Ty liked the Pokeball and glasses.
And Michael liked the Polaroid!
Noahs request- a trip to the temple with Ice cream!! It was hot out and fun to sit by the pool.
These lilies were our wedding flower. So perfect and pretty.
Ben hung out in this stroller a lot too.
I absolutely loved this room. The painting and colors were so beautiful.
Grandma asked the kids what they wanted for breakfast one morning and Noah requested pancakes.
Loving the bed head. :)
Can this get any cuter???
Mickey Mouse pancakes!
Grandma has a turtle. So cute.
Went to the spray park and Ben got right in there. He loved it. Probably his happiest moment while playing in that water.
On the lookout for some oranges. Michael wanted fresh orange juice.
Let's just take a moment to appreciate this rose garden. This is only part of it. It was gorgeous!! They work hard on it.
Went to the pool (basically the only one in AZ open this time of year)...
Sharing ice cream with Benny.
We took a day trip to Tortilla Flat. So fun to be on our own for a day and explore.
Ate at Superstition Saloon. Check out these cool chairs.
They estimate 80,000 $1 bills on these walls/roof. The restaurant, and ice cream shop are covered.
Ty found this jukebox and was so interested. He picked out the song "Cant help falling in love" by Elvis.
We got Gelato!! YUM!! Coconut (with real coconut chunks), Pistachio (with real pistacho chunks) and Prickly Pear (no chucks)
Then we went to the Ghost town which wasn't that cool, but HOLY that landscape is. Especially without the fence in view. The cactus' were so neat.
What a cool view!
Look at those Bougainvillea Trees!!!
Took a little mall train ride, haha
Grandma owns a Balloon store. So we went there and she let the kids pick out any Balloon they wanted. Olaf for Noah and Mario Party for Ty.
Want to know what they did with all these balloons? Put them in the garden to scare away the birds, haha!
We drove a lot, and Noah fell asleep in the car a lot. So hes just trying to wake up from his car nap.
Ben wasn't a fan of being on the grass.
We went to Butterfly Wonderland, and holy expensive but SO memorable. We spent a while there and really enjoyed all the butterflies. I have videos of Ben squealing at the butterflies. He LOVED them.
Oh goodness Noah you are cute!
Ty had 2 butterflies land on him. Highlight of his day!
Ben and I after church!! Look how GREEN!!
And this is usually what Ben is doing.
Tractor ride from Grandpa.
I love my Grandma. She is so amazing. It was so special to get to go spend this time with her.
Went to this amazing train park. Rode a train and carousel... played at the park...
Played in the water misters/murkey water.... This is Noahs face when I told him to SMILE. hahahahhaha
Noah fell asleep on the way back..
To my surprise we happened to be in AZ while Jesus the Christ temple pageant was happening. So our last night we went and it was so cool to watch that. Ty and Noah were riveted.
Grandma had a closet full of blankets so we grabbed two but one ended up being 4 small fabric chunks.... haha, so we each got one.
See you later, AZ... oh how we will miss you. None of us wanted to go home. I could get used to weather like that!
Ben was so cute buckled in his own seat on the flight home, haha.
Wow, what a trip we had. We went out to eat tons (YUM) and just played and played. Every single day we were busy and we can't wait to go back!!
